Magpie Fantasy Island - Jeju Island

A crisp rice lager-style beer with an added kick from local citrus. We used two varieties of local oranges the small tangerine “gyul” - and the larger sized “hallaobong” oranges - both famous for their distinct flavors and aroma. The backbone mix of Pilsner malt and Korean rice, gives the beers a clean and refreshing profile, allowing the fruit to shine through. 

The package design is inspired by a culture of a Haenyeo (women divers in Jeju), their “Tewak bouy” are where they place their catch , and can be seen floating off the coast around the island. ‘환상의 섬 Jeju Island’ is a common phrase describing “Jeju the Fantasy Island” because of its beautiful landscape and idyllic slow pace of life.
