Black Kite's Dai Pai Dong: Salt & Pepper Lager
Dai Pai Dong culture cannot be explained without the most famous S&P Squid. Crunchy exterior, juicy calamari, and most importantly the spices: Salt, Pepper and a sprinkly of garlic powder enhances the experience so that you can enjoy good food, good beer and good company.
Aroma hints at the underlying depth of flavour with salty lemony citrus, ginger, cumin and pepper supporting the bready malt aromas. Crisp and very refreshing on the palate - complex yet subtle flavours of ginger, cumin, coriander, white pepper and black pepper. The hint of mixed spices is well supported by a slightly salty citrus character - the overall flavour additions playing a very much secondary role to the crispy Pilsner malt backbone and enhancing the refreshing drinkability of this lager.
