Cheers to Negroni Week!

Cheers to Negroni Week!

Negroni Week takes place from 13-19 September this year.

Joining in on the fun - our local brewery, Black Kite, is launching their very own Negroni-inspired Black DIPA!

This unique concoction infuses the essence of a Negroni - herbal flavours of Vermouth, the bitterness of Campari, dryness of gin and the citrus from the orange twist. Rich in colour, you'll be sure to enjoy this bold Black double IPA.

What is a Negroni?

The Negroni is a classic Italian cocktail made with one part gin, one part rosso vermouth, and one part Campari, served with orange peel as a garnish. Often served as an aperitif, a Negroni is generally stirred, not shaken, and enjoyed over ice in an old-fashioned or rocks glass, garnished with an orange peel or slice. The vermouth and orange garnish give enough fruity sweetness to balance out the herbaceous bitterness of the Negroni that comes from Campari and juniper berry essence of gin.

Black Kite Brewery's Negroni BLACK DIPA

Ahead of the festivities, Black Kite Brewery recently announced the launch of their Negroni DIPA that will be available to try on tap for the first time on Thursday September 9th at Craftissimo Sheung Wan.  This genre-bending brew of roasted malt-blend and citrus-forward hops of Azacca and Cascade, the Negroni Black DIPA holds a luminary flavour that is then steeped in a several-spice blend containing cinnamon, clove, roselle, anise, to name a few.

Be sure to stop by Craftissimo in Sheung Wan this Thursday from 5 pm onwards to kick-off Negroni Week early!

Black Kite Negroni Black DIPA will be on draft at select locations from 9th September and throughout Negroni Week, and also available by bottle following.
