Craft Beer and Christmas Feast Pairings
Below are some of our favourite brew and food combos for this holiday season.
1.Roasted Ham and an IPA
One of the Christmas staples across the world is roasted Ham. With various exact ways of making this universally recognized Christmas offering, pairing it with a fresh beer is what makes it even better. Our recommendation is Thornbridge Brewery’s Jaipur IPA to pair with a perfectly roasted Ham for your feast.
2.Roasted Root Veggies and an Ale
Roasted root vegetables are always a part of a Christmas feast. For those who aren't the biggest fans of roasted veggies, we highly recommend pairing these vegetables with Black Kite’s Oh, Bacon! Smoked Ale (don’t worry it’s vegetarian!).
3.Turkey and an IPA
Another Christmas classic is the Roasted Turkey. Just like Thanksgiving, it is perfectly paired with our Founders All Day IPA.
4.Christmas Pudding and Chocolate Stout
Arguably everyone's favourite part of their Christmas meal is dessert, and a good Christmas pudding is on the top of that list. The richer, thicker texture of a chocolate pudding is cut through by the roasted, darker flavour that comes through in Black Kite’s Imperial Chocolate Stout.
5.Minced Pies and Milkshake IPA
A freshly baked mince pie, may be one of the most heart warming and satisfying dishes to eat as a part of a Christmas feast and what better way to wash it down but with a Milkshake IPA. Black Kite’s Jumbo Orange Milkshake IPA takes inspiration from everyone's favourite softee trucks with a boozy twist and is the perfect compliment to a hearty meal.
6. GINGERBREAD COOKIES AND STOUT
Last but not least, a warm and satisfying gingerbread cookie. Pair this classic Christmas favourite with Black Kite’s Pumpkin Spiced Latte Milk Stout - it is the perfect drink to pop open with a plate of gingerbread cookies.
